My Take

I love Brain Pop! It is a great way to introduce a lesson. The characters really get the students engaged and invested in the lesson. I also like how Brain Pop often addresses misconceptions. I have often hear my kids saying, "Oh yeah! That's what Annie said in Brain Pop!" Brain Pop also offers writing activities, drawing, lesson plans, and short quizzes to go with each lesson. The only thing I would ask more of would be to add more literacy based topics.

How I Use It

I use Brain Pop to introduce material to really hook the students. The students love it and are very engaged. With that being said, it is not a sole source for teaching content. It gives information on the surface level but it is a very engaging way to introduce or review concepts.
