Although intended for kids preparing to take the AP Biology exam, content is extremely thorough, and the app could be used as curriculum support material for any biology classroom. Before starting a unit, have kids use the Quick Review section to review vocabulary terms and read about the lesson topic. Use the concept map as a whole-class instructional tool, possibly adding to it as kids learn more about the topic. Kids can complete exams as unit tests or as practice tests before taking other assessments.

Navigating this study tool is simple, and optional pop-ups explain all features. Main choices on the home page include Quick Review, Multiple Choice, Free Response, Grid-In Questions, and View Study Statistics. In Quick Review, kids study content organized into topics and subtopics. Each subtopic includes a summary, concept map, list of keywords, essential questions, and reading material organized into an ebook. Kids can flag any subtopic to call attention to it for further review. In Multiple Choice, Free Response, and Grid-In Questions, kids can take three timed exams or create customized exams that focus on specific content. Results are tracked and can be viewed in the View Study Statistics section.

Using this study tool, kids can read, study, and take practice tests in a variety of formats to prepare for the AP Biology exam. Information is very well organized, which is key to successful study habits. Kids can also flag topics for further review, customize tests, and view their study statistics in great detail. This allows them to get a very personalized learning experience.
