Our hope is that parents and students will use the resources we create to support their work. The questions we use to evaluate software and the information security handbook can be used by anyone to help them gain a deeper understanding of what people mean when they talk about privacy and security. For example, students and parents can use the information security handbook to test apps used in their school. The information security handbook could also be adopted into many STEM or STEAM lessons.
By releasing the supporting information that drives the privacy evaluations, we want to empower more people to ask more questions -- and more informed questions -- about privacy and security.
