Do Now:
Ask students, "Is the Internet Good or Bad? Why?" Students record answers in Padlet

2 Direct Instruction

Have students watch the video "Digital Life"
Ask them to be ready to name all the ways the internet is used on a daily basis

3 Guided Practice

Activity: Conversing

Model the teacher's own representation of his/her daily use of the internet. Teacher should share - what is my digital live mostly used for?

4 Independent Practice

Activity: Drawing

Have students draw a representation of their daily use of the internet. After 15 minutes, students should share their drawings with an elbow partner and discuss - what are our digital lives mostly used for?

5 Wrap-Up

Activity: Conversing

Ask students how their digital lives compared to each other. Are we mostly using the internet for the same things? What does it mean to be a digital citizen?
