How do servers help computers communicate and send data utilizing the Internet?

--Task 2 Directions:  Construct a T-chart in your notebook illustrating the below. Then select 1 of the guiding questions to answer following the video.

Key  Words

Wonderings, Comments, Definitions

-- Computer Networks

--Server

--Client

--IP Address

Guiding questions:

Tier 3: Identify and explain what is a computer network?

Tier 2: Describe the role of a server? Detail how they help computers communicate within networks.

Tier 1:  Define what is an IP address? Explain why computers are assigned IP addresses and how do they help support the sharing

of data.

  • Step 4: Launch Microsoft EXCEL to apply tasks.
  • Step 5: Think critically and Complete the graphic organizer for vocabulary Excels).

  • Vocabulary : Computer Networks, server, client, IP protocol

Tier 1: Explain and summarize how IP addresses help direct internet traffic? Detail the role of “packets.”

Tier 2:  Detail and provide how servers and clients work together within a computer network?

Tier 3: Identify and explain what is a client? Provide an example.

Guided Practice:

Accountable Talk Discussion

(If you Need help)

  • Directions: Identify 1 topic, or vocabulary word you are struggling with and utilize this sentence starter to state the following:

                                                                                              Differentiated Instruction

Strategic InterventionStudents are given the below detailed graphic organizer, along with model of highly effective work to produce.

Students are also seated within mixed academic tiers in which those students who require academic intervention are able to receive

support from more advanced students. This is often determined during assessment for learning (stoplight checks).

ELLs

  1. Students from Period 1/3:

Sid Tughlok/Devonte

According to Sid and Devonte’s ELL classroom modifications, he is to receive immediate the following: extended assignment completion time,

bilingual dictionaries, positive/concrete reinforcement, oral assessment for learning of directions and task.

Thus, my instructional approach with Sid for this lesson will be to focus: on oral assessment for learning of directions and task, and

 positive/concrete reinforcement.

Additional literacy supports

Graphic organizer is required for completion of each  vocabulary  word. Each must have the following components:

  1. Definition of each vocabulary word
  2. Rationale, comparison and contrast

On Level – Tiered Reading comprehension questions from text will be completed.

AdvancedExtension critical thinking questions, and tasks are provided based on student demonstration of tiered reading comprehension question and corresponding technical task.

Evidence of Learning Closure/Share out/:

End result: As a class, we will assess ourselves on the following essential question connected to the below reading comprehension questions: What are

computer networks and how are they supported?

Tier 1: Explain and summarize how IP addresses help direct internet traffic? Detail the role of “packets.”

Tier 2:  Detail and provide how servers and clients work together within a computer network?

Tier 3: Identify and explain what is a client? Provide an example.
