Student Notes

1 Review Trigonometric Ratios

Activity: Conversing

Hand out project worksheet & facilitate brainstorm of the trigonometric ratios; sine, cosine and tangent.

Have students write them on the board

Student Instructions

Brainstorm trigonometric function ratios.

Write on board for reference.

2 Read 2 problems.

After reading over the problems the students will complete, model an example using the ShowMe app projected onto board using iPad and projector

Answer any questions students may have

Student Instructions

Observe tacher model of ShowMe

3 Students solve problems on paper first

Activity: Creating

Instruct students to complete problems # 1 & 32

Student Instructions

Complete problems #1 & #2 on paper first (as a dry run)

Follow directions, remembering to draw and label diagram and show calculations and check answers.

4 Students create ShowMe presentation

Distribute iPads and Styluses to students

Student Instructions

Log into ShowMe using the username and password from teacher.

Create the presentation by drawing & labeling the tirangle, performing the calculations and explaining the process

When finished, save and it will automatically be sent to me.
