1 Mind Mapping

Activity: Investigating

Have students share their usual source for images.

Then ask them to consider the creators.

Student Instructions

Where do you get your images from when you are doing school or other projects?

What about the original creator of that image?

How would you feel if someone "appropriated" your work without giving you credit.

2 Basics of Image Use

Go through slides with students.

Have them add comments on each slide.

Student Instructions

Comment on the slides as we discuss.

Press Ctrl+Alt+M to open a comment and Ctrl+Enter to close a comment.

3 Apply!

Activity: Creating

Have students create their own guide to teach someone else about these ideas.

They can use any digital or non-digital tools.

Student Instructions

Spread the love!

In small groups, create a guide - in any format - to teach these concepts to someone else.

Have a target audience in mind.

(Then actually share it with them!)
