1 Hook-

Activity: Other — imagination

Instruct students to imagine what it would be like to live in their community they created? Ask students to think about why they would like to live there? After a few minutes tell students they will be creating a travel video to encourage people to come live in their community.

Student Instructions

Students will imagine what it would be like to live in their created community. What things do they like best about their community that other might also enjoy?

2 Guided/Independent Practice

What would make a person want to live in your community? Students will explore travel guides and videos with a partner on Blendspace. They will note what they like, see, and notice in Notabiiity. What is similar in travel guides and videos?

Student Instructions

Students will explore with a partner travel guides and videos given to students on Blendspace. They will take notes on what they like, see, and notice in the Notability app. Students will discuss what is similar in the travel guides and videos?

3 Independent Practice/Wrap-Up

Teacher will instruct students to use their notes to assess what people want to know about a place. Students will then create an i-movie advertising their community as a place for people to live.
