2 Mini Lesson and Guided Practice: Intro App

Using an iPad, access application, Comic Life.

Explore the application to show students what the app is about and what they would be using and making.

As students are watching, create from start to finish, at least 2-3 pages to show them.

Students should take note of the different tools being used, how they are used, when they are used, what different components are there.

They should be taking notes on this so that they can do this during their comic book creation.

We will then transition starting to create student comic books.

Student Instructions

Student need to shut down computers and log on to their iPads.

They then need to access the app Comic Life.

Students will follow along with the teacher as the teacher creates the first 2-3 pages.

Students will take notes on the process so that they can then create their own comic books during the guided portion of this section.

3 Independent Practice: Your Turn!

Activity: Creating

Inform students that we have created and worked together on the comic book. Inform them they will be working on this on their own but may ask for asssitance at any time.

Student Instructions

Now, it is your turn to continue to work on your comic books. I will walk around and assist anywhere there needs to be assistance, but the rest needs to be done individually and your own creation. Have fun and make them entertaining!

4 Summarizer to Homework
