Students will be introduced to the new topic by viewing a fun video on the Skeleton.
2 Direct Instruction
As a whole group the students will read the article off the following site:
I would create a powerpoint or prezi using this site as well as info from a few others such as:
In addition I would create a note sheet that the students could fill in as we work our way through the discussion and powerpoint.
3 Independent Practice
Have the students work in small groups to create their own skeleton. There are a number of sites that you can direct them to that help with this. If you don’t want to leave it too open-ended you can have them create a skeleton using Q-tips and following the video at the following link:
4 Wrap Up
Students will present their skeletons to the whole group.
