1 HOOK/ATTENTION GETTER :

The teacher will show the "Another Look" from the website of Envision 2.0.

Student Instructions

Students will watch the video to be introduced to the topic.

2 DIRECT INSTRUCTION

Activity: Exploring

Teacher reads the directions and any prompts students may need to complete their first workbook page activity.

Student Instructions

Students will complete their first workbook page activity.

3 GUIDED PRACTICE

Activity: Exploring

Teacher will work with the whole class to do the guided activity on page 18.

Student Instructions

Students follow along with the teacher.

4 INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

Teacher can observe while students use the iPad to help work with ten frames and answer questions.

Student Instructions

Students will complete workbook page 19 with the aid of the iPad. Students will use the app to manipulate circles into the ten frame to help them add.

5 WRAP-UP

Activity: Assessing

Teacher will have students complete number 18 on page 20.  The teacher will do a quick check around the room at students slates with answers. Any students without the correct answer will be worked with the following day.

Student Instructions

Students will use their iPad/ten frames to find the answer. Students will write their answer on their slates and hold it up when the teacher asks them too.
