1 Hook

Activity: Conversing

The teacher will start a discussion on the characteristics of a LEADER (as learned in Leader in Me) and what does it mean to be a good digital citizen. Students will be divided into groups once the discussion takes off.

Student Instructions

Students will participate in discussions of words of a good leader and also good digital citizenship.

2 Direct Instruction

The teacher will demonstrate how to create a Wordle.

Student Instructions

Students will create a Wordle with their group on LEADER words and using good digital citizenship.

3 Guided Practice

Activity: Other — Conversing/creating story board

The students will discuss their words from their Wordle and then work together in groups to create a story board to present a lesson on good digital citizenship.

4 Independent Practice

Students will take their storyboards and use a digital story-making app to create their lesson on good digital citizenship.

Student Instructions

Work together to create your presentation.

5 Wrap-Up

Activity: Presenting

Students will listen and watch as each group presents their creation.
