1 Introduction to animation

Allow students to create a simple animation using this software. Save as .gif and post to Google Classroom.

Vocabulary: KeyFrame, Onion Skinning, Frames, FPS,  export, explore different formats like gif .mov

2 Pre-production - Assigning roles for Stop Motion film creation

Activity: Drawing

Learning Goal: Work collaboratively so that each group member has a different role 
Storyboarder - uploads the completed storybook to Classroom 
Scriptwriting - uploads the completed script to Classroom  - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWcn5ow1EQ4
Producer - write a note listing your materials needed and group progress.
Director - write a note in Classroom with the software and the Nursery Rhyme topic in consultation with your group 
Remember to click DONE in Classroom

Student Instructions

3 Production - Using a combination of materials like Lego, Apps like Stop Motion Studio to create a stop motion animation

Learning Goal: The Nursery Rhyme Animation project will give you an opportunity to explore the use of Stop Motion movies and create an engaging nursery rhyme animation for Lower School students and other kids.

1. Assignment details - just read
2. Design Brief (with due dates- also see Grade 11 calendar) - submit as Group led by Script Writer
3. Rubric - example for viewing
3. Storyboard/Script - done
4. Reflection - hand in
