1 Hook

Share a teacher/student example of a completed VoiceThread product that includes all the elements that are required.

Students will publish their Comic Life projects on VoiceThread and record themselves sharing what they learned.

Review the ComicLife template and provide some images for students to access. As an extension, inlcude some "distractor" images that are not correct to determine whether students can identify the correct state symbol. Also provide links to websites that students can use to learn more about their state symbols:

3 Guided Practice

Activity: Reading

Help students determine the most important facts about each state symbol. Model how to scan a website for important information and to determine what facts are worth writing down in their notes. 

4 Independent Practice

Students publish their ComicLife projects onto VoiceThread and record themselves sharing their pages.

5 Wrap-Up
