1 Hook

Once students have choosen their famous African American to research, they will log in using Noodle Tools to complete their research. Students will use Noodle Tools to conduct research using the Super 3 research model supported by the AASL.

2 Direct Instruction

Students will use the iOs app Face Talk to record their research stories once completed. Once students complete their recording, they will use the app to complete and save to the camera roll for export.

3 Guided Practice

Students will view examples of completed projects on School Tube

4 Independent Practice

Animoto was previously introducted for students at the beginning of the school year. Students can practice with the elements of video making by using this to prepare for their final project.

5 Wrap-Up

Activity: Presenting

Students will present their finished projects at the Math and Science night at school. Students will also enter their projects in the Visual Literacy Festival under the category of Computer/Technology Project.
