Activity: Presenting

Bring out physical 2D and 3D shapes for the students to touch and examine. Create a list of shapes the students can find in the classroom.

2 Direct & Guided Pratice

Introduce Montessori Geometry to review different shapes. Share the app with the students at first (it is not entirely intuitive) and then have students work through the app in pairs. There is a nice glossary to work through too!

3 Independent practice

Front Row
Free, Paid

Use Front Row for more practice for your students. Once you have created an account and a class roster you can personalize the work for your students. After searching under standards you can find the section for geometry. It has three different links to videos on LearnZillion. If you have a limited number of iPads for don't have enough time to work on the iPads exclusively, you can also get printables for the students to work on at school or to use as homework.
