1 Hook

Activity: Other — YouTube Video- on Safari Animals

Hook: what app or website might you use to "hook" students' attention and prepare them in some way for what they will learn? Name the app (and if you can, do a screen shot to show what it is), and along with this describe what you will do with this.

1) I would use YouTube to hook the students into a lesson on the Safari Animals by showing them videos of animals in their natural habitats.

2 Guided Practice

Activity: Other — Screencast-O-Matic Lesson

Guided practice: what app or online tool will you use to have the students learn, through guided practice, whatever you want them to learn (e.g. this can be something that others have created, like a Khan Academy video, or YouTube video) or one that you have created (using Screencastify, or Screencast-O-Matic) and uploaded to YouTube, then embedded in your Weebly site). Again, do screenshot or have video, and then describe what students will do.

 2) I would have them use Screencast-O-matic to learn and help with the practice, because it is the best way for them to hear, see and do the lesson.

3 Independent Practice

Activity: Creating

Independent practice: what app or online tool will you have students use to practice and demonstrate what they have learned. Again, do screenshot or have video, and then describe what students will do.

 

3) I would have the students integrate with their art class to create ‘clay-mation’ of their assigned animal in their natural habitiat.

4 Wrap-Up

Wrap up: activity will you have students do to wrap up their learning. This can be where they showcase their learning (so what app or online tool will you use to have them do this? Describe what they will do, again with screenshot of app/tool).

4) As a wrap up I would have all of the students watch and reflect on every groups videos, and then have a relection to assess their learning.
