Review 2D and 3D shapes.
Students will watch videos of 2D and 3D shapes.
Students will play "Who Am I" game giving clues about the shape they are thinking of.
Example: I am a shape that has four angles. Who am I?
2 Direct Instruction
Display the 2D and 3D shape posters without their names.
For each poster, write the name of the shape and use the shape’s attributes to explain how you know which shape you see.
3 Guided Practice
Teacher encourages students to explain their answers in details.
Students share their answers and explanations about their shapes.
4 Independent Practice
Teacher assists struggling students will they work.
Students will be given different templates to make their own 2D and 3D shapes.
5 Wrap Up
Teacher circulates to ensure students are on task.
Students will complete O.2 Name the three-dimensional shape on WWW.IXL.COM.
