Place value to round whole numbers
1 Hook/ Introduction
Teacher will review place value concepts that students shoul have mastered previously. Base ten blocks will be used to reinfoce base tens and regrouping to hundreds and thousands.
Students will manipulate the base ten rods and regroup to hundreds and thousands with guided practice.
2 Direct Instruction
3 Independent Practice
Teacher will introduce and model how to play the game. The teacher will remid students of procedures and expectations.
