Organizing research information
Students will answer a short answer "Quick Question" to attempt to organize their thoughts about their three developmental paragraphs.
2 Direct instruction
The teacher will demonstrate how to sort information into categories. The teacher will model using different color post its to create an organized visual outline of their information.
Students will type up any questions that they have at the end of class, what went well, and/or what they still need help with.
Key Standards Supported
Participate in shared research and writing projects (e.g., explore a number of books by a favorite author and express opinions about them).
With guidance and support from adults, recall information from experiences or gather information from provided sources to answer a question.
