3 Guided Practice

Students play Sortify: Musical Instruments on BrainPOP in small groups and discuss different ways to classify musical instruments.

Individual students register for Tinkercad and complete the step-by-step tutorial lessons in the 'Learn' section of the page. Pair students to help each other with learning and troubleshooting.

4 Independent Practice

Students create their own musical instruments in Tinkercad.  Students can design as inidivudals or in pairs/small groups.

5 Wrap-Up

Students present their designs to the class. If available, use a 3D printer to print out the design.

Enrichment activity: Design additional musical instruments.  Have students blog about the process, including screenshots of the design and/or photographs of the 3D printed object.
