Lets learn to link our sentences together!
The teacher will start the lesson out by playing this song.
The teacher will play the video three times. The first and scond time so that they can listen and learn, then so they can sing along.
The studnets will sit quietly and listen to the video the first two times, then sing along with the teacher.
2 Guided Practice
The teacher will write sentences on the board and ask the students to identify what the linking verb is in the sentence.
The students will raise thier hands so that they can answer questions that they teacher asks them.
3 Independent Practice
The teacher will have previously had this site set up on all the computers with headphones plugged in.
The teacher will instruct the students to go to the computers and put the head phones in and press play.
While the studnets are playing, the teacher will walk around answering any questions, and making sure studnets stay on task.
Students will go over to the computers and put thier headphones on. They will go through the slides with the website and answer the questions. Whenever they are done they will return themselves to thier desk and wait for thier next task.
As the students finish with thier computers they will sit back at thier desk. The teacher will quietly tell the students who are done with thier activitiy to pull out thier journal and write about what they just learned.
