1 Hook/Attention Getter
First day will require introductions. The teacher will draw on the chalkboard a graph that indicates two choices (phone/computer) Have the students choose thier favorite by putting a post-it on the chalkboard with thier name on it. After everystudent is finished and seated on the rug begin a discussion on what technology has more votes and gather student responses to have them explain why. Lead the students into the similarites of the two smart devices and then introduce the internet.
Begin with discussing the positives of the internet and then discuss the negatives of the internet. Then begin the lesson over interenet safety.
Students will walk into class, view the board and complete the asked question. Aftward they will have a seat on the rug, and begin discussing their answer to the board question.
2 Direct Instruction
View the video first. Then Present the information located in the powerpoint. Be sure ask essential questions, provide examples and break it down if needed for students to understand clearly
Observe Powerpoint. Ask questions, and respond if called uponn
3 Guided Practice/Independent Practice
Students will be observed throughout the trimester
Students will demonstrate skills throughtout the trimester
The teacher will provide a blank minion model for the students to create thier internet safety helper. After the student draws their character post it up somewhere within the classroom to serve as a reminder of internet safety
