1 What makes a good radio commercial?

Activity: Conversing

The teacher plays some existing radio commercials and helps students generate a list of the characteristic that makes that commercial successful 

Student Instructions

Students listen to the commercials and then participate in the discussion

2 The Commercial

1. Teacher directs students to the Google Doc template in order to plan and script their activity

2. Teacher facilitates students planning, scripting, and recording their audio commercials

Student Instructions

1. Students plan, research, and script an their audio commercial for an industrial rev invention on the Google Drive template

2. Students record their audio commercial using Soundtrap, Auadcity, or Garageband depending on what platform they are on

3 Invention Quiz

1. The teacher plays some of the Audio commercials 

2. The teacher then directs students to a formative quiz she has built on the inventions and has them take it. It could include drawing pictures of what they think the invention looks like based on the commercials

2. Students take the formative quiz
