Activity: Investigating

iNaturalist allows students to explore more about the life that lives all around and beneath them by getting them outdoors in their local environment taking photos of wildlife and plants with their cell phones or iPads.  Students are encouraged to upload their photographs,  research the flora and fauna surrounding not only their own local ecosystems where they live and go to school, but also, those they may discover during their travels.  This site provides assistance with basic research on both plants and animals found around the world.  Students get the chance to communicate with many individuals who often comment on their findings from near and far.
