1 HOOK

Activity: Reading

Students will read the scenario from Bertino book: Forensic science, fundamentals and investigations, Activity 8.4. They will learn new vocabularies and share their definitions to other students. Briefly, we will review angle and how to use protractor to measure an angle. Students will formulate a hypothesis based upon the scenario and test it later on.

2 GUIDED PRACTICE

Activity: Other — Youtube video

Students will watch a YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0acSkP32wA) that explains step by step how to proceed when creating a blood spatter from different angles of impact.

3 INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

Activity: Investigating

Students will work in group of 4 and will follow the procedure as stated in the activity. However, they have the option to modify or to create a completely new protocol accordingly to their investigation. In addition, students must collect data for analysis and conclusion.

4 WRAP-UP

Activity: Presenting

Students will present their findings to the class. In addition, students will share their experiences during the activity and their suggestions for improvement in the future.

5 REFLECTION

Activity: Assessing

Students will be given an exit ticket for the last five minute to assess their learning during the lesson and also ask questions if any.
