1 Scale Factors and Growth

Activity: Other — Drawing, building models, relevant apps include Numbers and Explore Everything.

Students enlarge simple prisms (food boxes, salt containers, etc.) and enlarge them using scale factors.
Students illustrate the enlarged surface areas using scale factor grids.
Students determine, graph, and explain the functions relating to each type of growth.
