Explain to students that they will be able to learn to use an online tool that can help them in the future.
Student should have access to a Google account to be able to use Google Drawing through Google Drive.
Show students how to sing in to Google if they have never done it before.
Show students how to access Google Drive.
Listen to the steps on how to sing in to Google and access Google Drive.
2 Direct Instruction
Show students how to access Google Drawing through Google Drive.
Show students how to use the basic tools on Google Drawing: lines, shapes, colors, etc.
Listen to teacher's instructions to be able to practice it when it is your turn.
3 Guided Practice
Ask students to sign in to Google.
Ask students to locate and put a certain number of items into a Drawing sheet to practice using them.
Sign in to Google.
Follow teacher's instructions to practice using Google Drawing tools.
4 Independent Practice
Ask students to make a drawing using the tools on Google Drawing. It can be theme/season/holiday related or anything your students might want to create.
Create a drawing based on your teacher's instructions.
5 Independent Practice Step 2
Once students are done with their drawings, show them how to share a document through Google Drive.
Explain to students that they will be responsible for creating a story for the drawing they receive from a classmate.
Listen to teacher's instrucions to be able to share their drawing to a classmate.
Write a story based on the drawing received.
6 Wrap Up
Print the stories and drawings to hand to each student.
Share our your drawing and story your classmate wrote.
