Famous American Project
Students would post to the board who they are going to be doing their research on for a famous American activity. Students can add an image of the person he/she will be researching.
2 Direct Instruction
The teacher would instruct students how to complete a safe search in Google. Students could then research and add information that needs to be included in the culminating activity. Teacher should provide students with what needs to be included in the end activity.
3 Guided Practice
Students can add notes, links, websites, images, and site sources in Evernote. These notes can be shared with the teacher to be sure that the student in getting the needed information.
4 Independent Practice
Students can then begin compiling the the information into a Google Doc, sharing it with the teacher, so that the teacher can keep current with what each student is doing. A great way for the teacher to have easy access to these documents is to use a script called Doctopus.
This is a great app for the students to use for a culminating activity. Students can use Animoto to make a creative video about the famous American. Students can add video clips that were found during research or the student can dress up as the famous American and give a short presentation about his/her famous American.
