Activity: Presenting

Students will be introduced to the Egyptian pyramids by viewing a short video segment from pbslearningmedia.org

2 Direct Instruction/Guided Practice

Activity: Investigating

Students will work in small groups on the a self-paced lesson on the pyramids at the following link: http://www.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/midlit11.soc.splegypt/building-...

 

They will work through the lesson and begin to understand and explore the Egyptian Pyramids. They will end the lesson with a final group project. 

3 Wrap Up

Activity: Exploring

Students will work on the app Fingerprint: Whole wide world where they will begin their travel journey in Egypt. This will be a fun way to wrap up the unit and reinforce what the students have just learned.
