As a bell ringer, we are going to complete the Kahoot over Digital Citizenship to get us ready for the Digital Citizenship section.
Open your Chromebook, go to Kahoot.it. When the I get the Digital Citizenship Kahoot opened, you will insert the Game Pin that is displayed on the board.
Once all students have joined the Kahoot, you will select what you feel is the best answer.
2 Direct Instruction
I will create a PowerPoint that will be displayed on the Smartboard that follows along with the text.
We will read Section 23.1 Communicating in a Digital Society (pages 476-482). We will read aloud as a class.
3 Guided Practice
Assign students the Check Your Understanding on page 482 of the text book, assign this in Google Classroom as well. Students will complete a short 5 question Check Your Understanding. They will start it by themselves, and converse with a partner when they are finished. They can use the partner that is at the same table as them. Students will turn the assignment in through Google Classroom.
Complete the Check Your Understanding on page 482. You will complete the questions by yourself, and then converse with the partner at your table. Once you have completed the Check Your Understanding, turn the assignment in in Google Classroom.
4 Independent Practice
Assign Google Slides Presentation in Google Classroom.
Create a 15 slide presentation over Digital Citizenship. You will be using Google Slides to complete this assignment.
Your presentation must include, but is not limited to:
1) Digital Literacy
2) Digital Communication
3) Intellectual Property
4) Electronic User's Bill of Rights
Your presentation must also include:
2) Different Text Styles/Font
3) At least one video
4) A video link
We will have 3 days to complete the presentation.
Review the lesson, students will present their Google Slides.
Present Google Slides presentation.
