Diet and Exercise
Teacher will teach student about proper diet and exercise and show them the benefits of both.
Students will record their diet and exercise for a week to see changes they could make to become healthier.
2 Direct Instruction
Assess and give tips to students on what foods they should be avoiding/adding to their diet based on their food logs and if they should add more exercise.
Give students specific details about how much exercise they should get, types of exercises they can do and go into detail about how diet impacts the body and a list of healthy and unhealthy foods.
Students will make a diet and exercise plan based on new knowledge to follow for the next week.
3 Guided Practice
Show students exercises for different muscle groups and how each should be used.
Practice different exercises teacher shows them.
Make a workout routine.
4 Independent Instruction
Talk to each student individually about their goals and show them ways to reach them.
Communicate to teach their physical goals and create a diet and exercise routine specific to them.
5 Wrap up
Assess students individual routines and give them feedback on how to perfect the routine.
Follow the routine and track results.
