Review of key terms

Ask students to retrieve notebooks and computer from computer lab station.

Using Kahoot.it, create a short quiz reviewing key terms from the previous day. Provide immediate feedback following each question, ensuring students have correct definitions written in their notebooks.

2 Guided Practice (Analyze)

Students should access 2.1.1 Moodle Activities page. Using introductory text under 2.1.1 Diagnosing Diabetes, students should craft their own definition of diabetes and write it into their laboratory journals.

Students should then access the 2.1.1 Medical History form on Moodle and use Google to search and define words they don't know.

3 Independent Practice (Analyze and Evaluate)

Students should research common symptoms associated with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes using the Mayo Clinic website.

Students should create a T-table in their laboratory journals comparing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes symptoms.

4 Wrap-Up (Analyze)

Free, Paid

Using Nearpod, students should post 2-3 symptoms common to either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes on the wall under the correct heading.
