1 Hook/Attention Getter
Give 7 examples of cyber bullying and each youth will respond based on prior knowledge.
Computers will be set and ready for youth as they enter the classroom ready for the Kahoot Activity.
Start survey, Instructor will read each question aloud to youth, and wait for responses to be recorded.
Each youth will be seated and get ready for Kahoot survey.
Youth will begin to answer survey questions.
2 Direct Instruction
Present youth with handouts
Give youth ample time to read the information provided
Ask youth to discuss what information they read:
1. Points of Interest
2. Facts unknown
3. Personal examples and effects.
Youth are to read the handouts.
Participate in group discussions and problem solving.
3 Guided Practice
Discuss with youth and create a list of warning sign and possible solutions regarding Cyber Bullying on chart paper.
Youth will participate in group discussion
Each youth will be given the opportunity to add to the list of warning signs.
4 Independent Practice
Each youth is to create an essay in regards to cyber bullying and draw information and conclusions from previous content.
Upon completion of essays youth will create a bragging board to display work for facility kuddo's.
Write an essay "Cyber Bullying" and include an introductory paragraph and draw conclusions from the group discussion and examples. Give specific examples.
Youth will design their bragging board to display work.
5 Wrap UP
Delivery the Kahoot Questions in survey mode.
After completion of questions, review results and compare to original survey done at beginning of lesson.
(this step will measure comprehension and retention of subject)
