I use Padlet as the hook to begin this lesson.  I show a series of pictures that will introduce the book.  As I show the pictures, students will enter text letting me know what they believe the selection will be about.  We can go back and look at those responses at a later time.  I use Aurasma to bring information to life for the students.  This is done through a gallery walk of several aurasma stations throughout the classroom.  Finally, I use curriculet to assign a series of text to the students and assign multiple choice questions to access understanding throughout the text.
