2 Direct Instruction
Use the teacher resources for 3.NBT.3-1 to give a mini-lesson to the class.
3 Guided Practice
Use a printable for 3.NBT.3-1.0 during your small group instruction.
4 Workstation #1
Assign the Ten Marks activity for 3.NBT.3 to students. They should complete this activity at the class computer center.
5 Workstation #2
At this workstation students should play one mission and then multiplication practice to review math facts.
6 Workstation #3
This workstation will require flash video cameras, individual whiteboards, dry erase markers and two sets of multiplication problems that use multiples of ten.
In pairs, students will videotape each other solving their two math problems. The teacher can then use the video data as a formative assessment.
