Students will be able to  define relevant vocabulary.

Create two still life brushstroke paintings.

Include a chinese character print in red washable ink (relief).

Understand cultural differences through experimentation in brush grip, music, and writing (left to right versus botttom to  top) (ideogram vs character).

Process and conquer self doubt and embarrasement at lack of success in creating with new tools and materials.

Understand proper tool and material use, clean up, labeling and storage of finished or in progress art work.
