Students work collaboratively in groups of three to create  vocabulary quiz cards for visual, auditory and verbal learners using Google Presentation.

1 Hook

While engaged in Word Central, students explore semantics through wordy activites on iPad minis.


2 Direct Instruction

Students explore/investigate teacher created  "How to videos..." located in Google Drive. Students receive step by step directions on Google drive toolbar and how to "share" presentation with project members to edit collaboratively.


3 Guided Practice

Activity: Conversing

Students engage in the 4 C'S -Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity. Students practice sharing a teacher created quiz card template with project members.Students also practiced uploading images, videos and writing definitions on quiz card template.

4 Independent Practice

5 Wrap-Up

The Class Vocabulary Quiz Card Google Presentation was shared with parents and embedded in teacher's ePortfolio.This lesson lauched more Google Drive customized project based learning. A small group of students created a Google Presentation title "Google Presentation...Easy as 123" and shared the presentation with classmates. Next, students created a Google Form Test to collect data that verified peers learning. Lastly, the Google speadsheet responses were coverted to percentages in Flubaroo.
