1 Hook

Activity: Investigating

Students will bring their book reviews that they completed in their Social Studies class.  I will show them my Audioboo account on https://audioboo.fm/ and let them listen to some book talks students created last year.

2 Direct Instruction

Activity: Broadcasting

I will show them how to use the Audioboo.fm website and the Audioboo App to record their own book review.  Students will record and save their book reviews to my account.

3 Guided Practice

Activity: Creating

After recording, students will get onto their own book review, highlight and copy the URL, open a new tab, and go to  www.qrstuff.com.  They will paste the link into the number 2 box, set the color and density of their QR code, and download the code.

4 Independent Practice

Activity: Investigating

Students will open a blank Microsoft Word Document, and insert the QR code they created.  They will type the book name "Book Review.  By, their name".  They will print their QR code and then use the QR Reader App

to scan and play the book reviews.

5 Wrap-Up

Activity: Broadcasting

Students can create more recordings on Audioboo.fm to go with other original writing pieces.  They can also create more QR codes, allowing others to have easy access to their creations.
