Teacher Review For Prodigy

Engaging and fun! It even intrigues those students who hate math! Plus, there are many statistics and data for teachers to use. Prodigy is constantly looking to improve and quickly adapts to teacher/student needs/wants!

How I Use It
I use this product in many ways in my teaching. I send out some assignments on here, as well as use it as a fill-in for a change. The students get to have fun, and in turn, they are filling in the empty spots from math topics that they may not have understood before, or that they simply missed. I try to give students time on Prodigy once every week. I do not recommend letting them play more than 2 days as it could get old quickly, and it is important to have another form of instruction. I even use Prodigy to show parents quick, color-coded graphs and statistics about their child's work on Prodigy! The parents love it, and all that I have spoken to have made an account for themselves in order to track their child's progress on their own!
My Take
I LOVE this product as a supplementary tool for math! I have ALC students and it has even suckered them into loving it! The Prodigy team is constantly working to better serve teachers and students. They are currently working on a multiple class option, as well as MN state standards. Prodigy has just come out with a few new assessment tools, and a planner. The Prodigy Team is also working to make it possible to see more individual assessments in order to use this to show parents/teachers the individual's progress and capability, without sacrificing private score information about other students.
