How I Use It
As teachers of young, active, and energetic students, we know they need support in switching gears from recess, P.E., or just a break in between lessons. GoNoodle.com provides a collection of easy-to-use videos and games to address the energy needs of my 3rd grade class. We use the high activity videos to release pent-up energy after a difficult lesson or test. Daily we use the breathing game AirTime to help us refocus and calm down after recess. Often times I can find a video that also support our Social Emotional Learning curriculum. My students love it so much that if there's a day where I forget to log-in, my class lets me know immediately!
My Take
GoNoodle was developed with a busy educator in mind! Once you create a classroom account, it is so easy to navigate through the activities and videos. My students love that they can choose a class mascot that grows and develops as we track our progress in the activities. The website's collection of popular brain breaks (Zumba Kids, Koo Koo Kangaroo, Kids Pop, and many more) saves me time of searching through a variety of sites for body and brain breaks for my class.
