This is a game that is used to teach students game design - and critical thinking skills. Excellent!

How I Use It
I used this in an online class on Introduction to Programming. As the students progress further and further through the first quest, they gradually become more and more aware of how important the elements of game design are in producing an effective game. For my class, once students have completed their first game, they have to test 3 games made by their classmates and leave a review. Then they have to go and improve their own games based on the feedback from their peers. This is a great way to make students think even more about the process and to teach them they can always improve on their work.
My Take
Kids love playing games, yet they seldom stop to think why they like the games they do. This game forces them to that, and it does it in a very engaging way.
