Editor's Note: The article refers to Graphite, the former name of this website.

At this year’s ISTE conference, we launched three new features in Graphite’s Teacher Center: What’s New pages, Teaching with Tech, and Graphite Community. These new resources join our existing suite of videos, monthly webinars, teacher-submitted Lesson Flows, and our Graphite Certification program.

Let’s take a look at how our new resources can help you advance your practice.

What’s New

Want to know what the latest and greatest resources on Graphite are? Check out our What’s New pages. There you’ll find hand-picked resources from our editorial team as well as trending Top Picks lists, reviews, and Lesson Flows from fellow teachers. Right now we have pages for ELA and Math, but there are more on the way this fall, so stay tuned!

Teaching with Tech

Looking for a quick fix of high-quality professional development? Teaching with Tech has you covered. These pages feature bite-sized content and activities that’ll only require a few minutes. We’ve started with two topics: Designing Tech-Rich Lessons and Teaching with Video. Each topic has four steps -- Learn, Apply, Evaluate, and Create -- and features videos, recommended articles, and tool recommendations with great ways to use them well. We're particularly proud of the videos we made, developed with Friday Institute for Educational Innovation at North Carolina State University, which all feature real teachers in classrooms and offer step-by-step processes, tips and "lessons learned," and recommended tools to help support your practice. And this is just the beginning: Look for more Teaching with Tech pages on flipped learning and project-based learning in the fall.

Graphite Community

Both the What’s New and Teaching with Tech pages feature discussion boards where everyone is welcome -- from newbies to experts and everything in between. Have a question? Got a great tip? Just want to tell someone about your favorite app? Head to the boards where you can connect with like-minded educators and our team of Graphite Mentors. These folks are Graphite Certified Educators with knowledge and expertise that'll help answer any question you might have around technology integration.

I'm proud of these new offerings, and hope you find them useful. This is just the start of many more professional growth features we'll be adding to Graphite this school year. Check out these new pages and let us know what you think! We'd love to hear from you at
