How I Use It

I have used this app during RTI time, which is when we break into small groups and target specific skills that a students is having difficulty with. I have also used this i the word work center during Daily 5 rotations. What worked- the students were able to independently use the app for practice, gain more confidence in their sight words, and provided me with the opportunity to work with other students. What did not work- a time limit needs to be set on how long the students can play with their bugs, otherwise that is all they do (in kindergarten anyways) Takeaways for students- I documented data from the students report card each time they used the app. The students were then able to see their growth and we could set goals together for the next session. It also provided data on what words students needed more exposure to.
