How I Use It
Students created a Touchcast for Bone Anatomy review. Students used Touchcast to create a video for the review. At first students thought this was a simple video app, but then students realized that they could add vApps. vApps engage the viewer by allowing the publisher to add a graphic, article, image, or web content on top of the video. The video plays while the vApp adds content in the corner of the window. Think newscast! Students can annotate notes from class, or create their own content.
Easy to use, and students love it. If you are tech savvy there is not need to use the tutorials. Many of my students were able to use it "right out of the box." Students love to add a picture within picture. My only criticism is that the camera seems to focus in and out constantly.
