How I Use It
Sometimes you can even use this as a tool to introduce new ideas. They can see the need for them, or see what you are about to study. Or, after a long lecture with note taking, use this so they can actually learn something.
My Take
This type of exercise can actually be as valuable as even the best of lectures. That hands on, figure it out yourself style of learning has the ability to "hook" your students, or reinforce complicated topics.
