How I Use It
This app was used for application. Students created a robot that tied to a piece of literature that they had written and brought their character to life. I found it interesting to see how they translated the character from the abstract to real but I would also like to do it the other way around. I am wondering if this may be a good exercise to work on building descriptive features in writing. I will have my students build the robot first and describe it to the reader. The one downside was that it did not match my student's creative minds...not all of the things they imagined were capable in the app.
I think this is a very engaging and high quality tool. I would use it with lots of age levels...even adults fight over it! I would just make sure to give it a lot of content support. This is a place where application can happen or ideas can be brainstormed but it is not rooted in skills or content.
