How I Use It
This is much like the many other online whiteboards out there. I can walk around the classroom and draw on my mobile device and have it show up on the LCD screen. This is great for allowing teachers to move around and still interact with their screen. It allows for images to be the background so teachers can take a photo of an existing sheet/PDF and use that as the background, then draw, write, edit, create to teach a concept. This allows students to also draw on the projecting device and have work shown on screen. It is a great way to keep a class focused, have teacher monitor by being mobile, and allow students to participate at their seats.
I have used a variety of these whiteboard apps. This one is not any better than others. The free version only allows 3 boards to be used at a time, while the $9.99 version is unlimited. Options are limited on what you can do as well. I use PDF format a lot and this app did not allow me to upload that as my background (some other whiteboard tools do). It was easy to use, but felt laggy in the display. A weird thing also happened. When I tapped "undo" the line that was to be cleared off would delete from the web version first, then the iPad. Strange. I am a fan of another whiteboard tool over this one, although SyncSpace does work as it is intended. It is a good way to be mobile and project your device to the LCD screen.
