How I Use It
I use it to create personalized spelling lists for my students. For example, I put in the regular spelling lists each week, and then I put in a spelling list for my below grade level student to differentiate. Then I could have my below-level student take her test on the computer wearing headphones while I administered the regular test orally, and the other kids didn't know. I also used the test feature to administer make-up or re-take tests. I'm not sure if this is an option in the subscription version, but it would be nice to have a feature that could automatically create a list from all the lists a user has created that could be used as a review.
My Take
Great for helping kids study. I teach 3rd grade, and my students were motivated to play the games (free only, since I don't have a subscription), which helped them study. They also liked that they could take a practice quiz at home or in the computer lab and be scored immediately. I also like that the program has the definitions for the words as help for students. That makes listening for homophones easier.
