How I Use It
Students use SpellingCity at home as a way to practice their weekly spelling words. They can use learning games like HangMouse, a hangman-type guessing game, and a sentence scrambler which assists with usage of words rather than rote memorization. The students can also quiz themselves using the Spelling Test function prior to spelling test day.
My Take
SpellingCity is a good way for students to practice spelling words at home or at school independently. The teacher should go to the corresponding website Spellingcity.com in advance to enter the spelling list, otherwise a student can use a stock list provided by SpellingCity. The app is a little bit glitchy, and will crash during use occasionally.
